Description ACRT Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Utility Forester in Ashtabula, Ohio. Our Utility Forester position is ideal for candidates looking to build upon their experience in the field of Utility Vegetation Management.

The Utility Forester will be responsible for creating and implementing a best in class management program. Duties will include work planning, auditing, budgeting, conflict resolution, and reporting activities to the customer. In addition, the Utility Forester will train and supervise other ACRT personnel on the property.

Requirements and Desired Qualifications:

• 2-4 year degree in forestry, biology, or related field or relevant experience preferred
• Ohio Pesticide Applicator's license preferred
• ISA Certified Arborist and ISA Utility Specialist certifications or ability to obtain preferred
• Experience in utility vegetation management preferred
• Experience in work planning and auditing preferred
• Experience in budgeting a plus
• Experience in training and supervising preferred
• Experience working with GIS integrated data collection software/hardware preferred but not required
• Strong experience in conflict resolution
• Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rates
• Ability to read and follow maps
• Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Candidate must be self-motivated, organized, production oriented
• Candidate must be comfortable working in an independent environment and managing a geographical area for all vegetation related activities
• Candidate must be able to work with stakeholders, utility customers and line clearance vendors and have excellent interpersonal skills
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Multi-tasking and strong time management skills required
• Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules (available nights and weekends as needed)
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle

• Valid Driver License required
