AmeriPark has an opening for Account Captain of Valet Operations at the brand new 600 Brickell building in downtown Miami. 600 Brickell is a 40-story, 484-ft high skyscraper, with 11 floors of parking garage space and 28 floors of office space, with the bottom floor reserved for shops and cafes in the near future.
The right candidate will be a very organized person who can handle stressful situations in a sometimes chaotic environment, manage all aspects of the valet operation, maintain parking garage equipment, manage the shuttle service and driver, and all the while maintain composure and control, always anticipating the guest's needs. This position will initially work from 9AM-5PM, but as the restaurant presence on the ground floor changes, the hours will change. Therefore, the right candidate will need to be very flexible and adaptable in this ever-changing environment.

The scope of the Account Captain role is listed below.

Valet Responsibility:
•Manage the entire valet operation, including scheduling, revenue reporting, leading the valet team, training and improving their efficiency, etc.
•Enforcing strict hospitality guidelines, ensuring every guest is treated like a friend, and leading this initiative by example.
•Overseeing the general safety and service of the operation from day to day.
•Ensuring the property management is extremely satisfied with the valet operation and making adjustments accordingly.

Parking Garage Equipment Responsibility
•Routine and Preventative Maintenance (daily) and light but regular maintenance to revenue equipment in garage
Such work will include:
1. Check and replace all ticket dispensers
2. Check that all clocks are correct
3. Replace and repair gate arms
4. Check and replace ribbons
5. Check and arrange repair of all fee computers and car counters

Shuttle Responsibility
•Responsible for the shuttle and driver in all areas- accountability, hours, maintaining standards of hospitality, etc.
•Arranging the pick-up and drop-off of guests at their request
•The shuttle is currently running M-F, 11AM-3PM, but this will change as the building acquires more tenants

Requirements Additional Duties Include:
•Employee Reporting:
- Reporting tardiness or missed shifts
- Reporting uniform issues
- Reporting behavioral / non-teamwork focused activities
- Reporting issues to the regional manager directly by phone

•Operational Reporting:
- Daily Lot Report auditing and completion
- Claim reporting
- Revenue Collection
- Revenue Reporting
- Time and Attendance Reporting
- Tip distribution

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Strong desire to win and succeed.
• Stickler for details. This position will live in the details.
• Gifted motivator that identifies leadership opportunities and seizes the moment for development of subordinate.
• Candidate must have experience in directing projects that involve many moving parts and personalities.
• Have an impressive background in fast-paced operations, service-sector management or similar.

Additional information:
• Customer Service Initiatives and Daily Game Plans: The Captain's role is not in the creation but the execution of those plans while on shift.
• Directing the work of others: The Captain may appoint associates to certain routine roles, but will not assign someone to a non-ordinary role.
• Scope of authority: The Captain will work closely with the Regional Manager to formally discipline another associate.
• The Captain requires the ability to "cut staff" if business conditions dictate and is considered a normal course of action when slow conditions exists.
• The Captain does not have authority to hire or terminate other associates, to enter into contracts on behalf of the Company, or assume any sort of liability on behalf of the company.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (bi-lingual is a must)
- Must have a valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving history
- Must be willing to work full-time with a schedule that may vary
