Back to God Ministries International, an agency of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) is seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk) Relationship Manager. PURPOSE
To develop relationships with mid and major level donor contacts in targeted North American communities within and beyond the Christian Reformed Church, by contact through telephone, email or written communications for the purpose of raising financial resources and cultivating a pool of potential donors for major gifts officers of Back to God Ministries International.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Relationship Management
1. Build relationships with new or existing BTGMI donors and connect them with the mission of the ministry.
2. Engage donors within the ministry of BTGMI by sending resources they need.
3. Evaluate and appropriately assign new mid-level qualifiers as designated by policy and procedure established by administration and officers.
4. Establish and maintain an active thanking process within BTGMI.
5. Develop communication and information with and from donors through all sources available (i.e. phone, email, Facebook) and actively engage those donors by those mediums.
Mid-Level Donor Development
1. Manage and maintain relationships with a portfolio of assigned donors.
2. Qualify, cultivate and lift mid-level donors to major donor status.
3. Evaluate and appropriately assign new mid-level qualifiers as designated.
4. Contact, thank, update and survey and send follow-up materials to donors in the assigned portfolio.
Planned Gift Marketing
1. Promote and maintain our Legacy Partners Society of planned gift participants for BTGMI.
2. Develop strategies and materials in order to promote the named society to donors and constituency of the CRCNA.
3. Work with partners (Barnabas Foundation) and other advancement team members to promote membership in the planned gift society.
4. Assist in promoting the benefits and opportunities offered by the planned giving program, in one or more of the following ways: email/mail, telephone, planned giving brochures, in-house advertisement and publicity, special events, paid advertising in outside media and others.
Development Administration and Support
1. Work with the Director of Advancement to establish fundraising goals, strategic planning activities, and development initiatives.
2. Participate in updating a yearly development plan and the implementation of that plan.
3. Foster teamwork with other advancement officers and staff.
4. Attend key local events to which BTGMI donors are invited.
5. Learn and execute current systems and procedures for daily operations.
6. Maintain regular and accurate donor reporting in our donor management system.
