The Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) has a full-time opening for a Promotions Assistant with Christian Reformed World Missions (CRWM) in Haiti. The purpose of this position is to assist CRWM Haiti’s (WM-Haiti) ministry partners to increase their ability to promote and illustrate the work that God is doing through them via media (stories, proposal writing, video, pictures, Internet, etc.). This increased capacity in promotion will allow our ministry partners to effectively approach other organizations and groups to share in their passion to serve their communities in Christ’s name. The end goal is for WM-Haiti’s partners to be less dependent on mission resources. The Promotions Assistant will also evaluate WM-Haiti’s and SE’s efforts to promote the work of their partners.

MINISTRY CONTEXT
In Haiti, three ministries of the CRCNA (CRWM, World Renew, and Back to God Ministries International) work together in a collaboration called Sous Espwa (SE), which translates to Source of Hope. SE works in partnership with several Haitian denominations and para-church organizations to equip Haitian Christians for Gospel service in their communities and churches.
PURPOSE
The Promotions Assistant will assist CRWM Haiti’s (WM-Haiti) ministry partners to increase their ability to promote and illustrate the work that God is doing through them via media (stories, proposal writing, video, pictures, Internet, etc.). This increased capacity in promotion will allow our ministry partners to effectively approach other organizations and groups to share in their passion to serve their communities in Christ’s name. The end goal is for WM-Haiti’s partners to be less dependent on mission resources. The Promotions Assistant will also evaluate WM-Haiti’s and SE’s efforts to promote the work of their partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Improve the capacity of WM-Haiti’s partners to promote their ministry.
a. Spend time with WM-Haiti’s ministry partners learning about their ministry programs, strategies, and results. Occasional travel would be required.
b. Mentor WM-Haiti’s partners in the development and dissemination of promotional materials to tell their stories and share their ministry through the written word (e.g., blog posts, newsletters), photos and videos, and social media.
c. Mentor and support the SE Bridger’s efforts to connect and remain connected with visiting volunteers and teams.
d. Assist WM-Haiti’s ministry partners to network with other like-minded organizations and people for mutual learning and encouragement.
2. Provide additional training to SE partners depending on education and skills of applicant.
3. Evaluate WM-Haiti’s efforts to promote the work of its Haitian partner organizations with constituents.
5. Cultivate relationships with the North American support base.
a. Develop and sustain a support base within CRCNA and other North American congregations to promote prayer, develop awareness, and raise support for ministry.
b. Promote responsible and enriching North-South partnerships linking Haitian organizations and communities with North American individuals, schools and/or churches in concert with the Sous Espwa Constituency Bridger.
c. With the help of the Sous Espwa Constituency Bridger, recruit, organize, host and work alongside visiting teams and volunteers that come to learn about ministry, build relationships, and support the CRCNA partners/ministries.
6. Assist with administrative tasks that contribute to effective team functioning including accounting,
planning/reporting, spiritual well-being, social/team building, team personnel, team training &
professional development.
7. Participate in learning opportunities, individually and with other team members.
