High Liner Foods is proud to be the leading North American processor and marketer of value-added frozen seafood. We are seeking a  Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)  to become the newest member of our Production Team. The position will be based out of our Portsmouth, NH facility.

You will be accountable for a considerable contribution to the efficient and cost-effective management of the production line. You will ensure the timely and optimum availability of high quality finished products necessary to accommodate sales and customer requirements, while maintaining a safe and sanitary environment consistent with government regulations.

 

 

 As the Production Supervisor (2nd Shift), a typical day might include the following:

·         Assurance of up-to-date, cost effective manufacture of products through increased efficiency, quality standards, and company objectives. 

·         Hiring, terminations & disciplinary actions with production employees.

·         Timely and cost effective manufacture of products through increased efficiency, quality standards, and company objectives.

·         You are the link between the Plant Manager and the production workforce.  You will provide direction and motivation to the production employees directly reporting to you.

·         You will be responsible for issuing directives for optimum utilization of all assigned personnel and equipment on the production line.  The Production Supervisor must assure that timely action is taken to correct deficiencies by establishing priorities and providing direction and guidance to subordinates in the resolution of problems as they arise. 

·         You will be responsible for the continual training of the production employees in cost effective and safe production methods and performance.

·         Implementing “Problem Solving & Lessons Learned” procedures to ensure continual growth within the company.

·         This position is required to provide assistance to Research & Development in the processing of new products.  A basic knowledge of cuttings and processing specifications is required in this area.

·         You would be responsible for attainment of projected yields and the timely and cost-effective manufacture of products and safe and sanitary conditions through effective monitoring, supervision and coordination of assigned equipment and personnel.

·         You have knowledge and understanding of both scheduling procedures and costing of products to ensure the production of products is done efficiently and cost effectively.

·         You have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated leadership experience or a BS/BA in a related field with a proven record of taking on leadership roles in the past. We need smart & engaging folks to lead our production line to work as efficiently and diligently as possible.
