R&D Assistant

High Liner Foods is proud to be the leading North American processor and marketer of value-added frozen seafood. We are seeking an R&D Assistant to support Research & Development/Culinary functions throughout the business.  The position is based at our Portsmouth, NH Headquarters.

You will be reporting to the Chef/Culinary Manager and be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen, cafeteria and break areas in the Headquarters.

As the R&D Assistant, a typical day might include the following:

·         Clean and stock Cafeteria, Kitchen, and Break areas

·         Assist the chef with light food preparation for in house catering.

·         Cover the receptionist during their lunch period and other breaks.

·         Clean Gym and other common areas throughout the building.

·         Assist with transport of product samples between HQ and the Portsmouth factory.

·         Wash, sort and put away all dishes and equipment used in R&D/Culinary kitchen.

·         Maintain fryer to HLF standards, including cleaning and replacing oil in the fryers.

·         Assist Culinary with product demonstrations, luncheons, seminars, food shows, focus groups, etc.
