Requirements Macmillan Learning is currently seeking an Associate Digital Marketing Specialist located in their New York, NY office. The Associate Digital Marketing Specialist will collaborate with editorial and marketing teams on campaign strategy and execution, brand awareness, and content strategy. This will include creation of campaign assets creation for key products and media across channels such as email marketing, social media, virtual events, microsites, paid ads, and more. The Associate Digital Marketing Specialist will focus on applying analytics to optimize marketing content on all digital platforms to contribute to a positive customer experience and conversions. The Associate Digital Marketing Specialist will also help maintain our instructor and student facing web properties applying business rules and logic to troubleshoot and close change request tickets, creating and updating marketing content in our content management systems, loading new product information, and supporting large scale development projects as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop, plan, and manage integrated campaigns across channels, from launch to completion
• Develop, refine, update, and optimize content and campaigns around disciplines, products, and services, including callouts, landing pages, videos, blog posts, ads, and other digital content including macmillanlearning.com
• Evaluate effectiveness of campaigns; collect and disseminate metrics and analytics about web traffic and customer response campaigns across channels
• Assign, troubleshoot, and close tickets internally and externally submitted tickets pertaining to requested changes to macmillanlearning.com and communicate resolution timeline and details across teams
• Manage updates to marketing content on macmillanlearning.com and the Macmillan Learning Student Store including working across departments to collect and create content, making recommendations for optimizing content, and handling new product uploads ensuring marketing content surfaces appropriately
• Understand business rules and logics between two publishing systems and content management system to communicate across teams as it pertains to requested changes to macmillanlearning.com and the Macmillan Learning Student Store
• Evaluate and communicate new and emerging requirements for web properties such as microsites, landing pages, macmillanlearning.com, and the Macmillan Learning Student Store as needed
• Support large scale marketing site projects such as content migrations, redesign, and optimization projects
• Keep abreast of digital marketing trends making recommendations for the continued improvement of marketing and sales strategy as appropriate; advise on strategy as it applies to campaigns


Required Skills / Knowledge:

• 2+ years experience in digital marketing with proven campaign or project management experience
• Strong attention to detail and the willingness to learn complex business rules and logic as it relates to our web properties
• Interest in maintaining and creating a positive user experience for instructors and students on our web properties
• Proficiency with WebEx, Google products (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides), and MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Ability to lead strategy discussions and project manage live campaigns to meet milestones, manage deadlines and tasks across teams and departments, create assets, and prioritize around campaign goals
• Passion for exploring new technologies and platforms for reaching customers; makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
• Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
• Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side; able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
• Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
• Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
• Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
• Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (i.e. content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently

Experience Needed:

• 2+ years experience in digital marketing with proven campaign or project management experience
• Familiarity with content management systems
• Familiarity with Marketo or a similar email service provider (ESP)
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and SurveyGizmo a plus


Educational Background Required:
BA in English, Communications, Marketing, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
