Local Development Manager

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or execute local marketing events and tactics to drive new enrollments and support school retention efforts.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to link prospects with existing K12 families
  • Outreach to current K12 users in designated states or territories.
  • Identify new acquisition channels and develop relationships with key influencers to build the school brands and drive new enrollments.
  • Document competitors and identifying opportunities to overcome competition.
  • Analyze the market to determine growth potential.
  • Document local market idiosyncrasies to be leveraged/overcome in future marketing and sales efforts.
  • Act as the liaison between School staff and K12 Corporate Marketing to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • Identify local marketing opportunities to support the K12 independent consumer business line.
  • Identify and execute local and national retention strategies for currently enrolled families.

  • Bachelor's degree; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Marketing and account management experience
  • Experience with grassroots marketing and local strategy development
  • Experience with logistics and event planning
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely organized, self-starting, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to lift and move boxes up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work weekends and have a flexible work schedule
  • Ability to travel and drive to locations and meetings


  • Marketing experience with technology based education products
