Description

CallisonRTKL is a renowned architecture and design firm with offices around the globe. This candidate will join either our Dallas or Washington D.C. office to assist with the design and implementation of a firmwide Records and Information Management (RIM) program. This will include participation in the deployment of a cloud-hosted Information Library System (ILS), Knowledge Management (KM) platform and corresponding employee training. The ideal candidate will have an interest in special libraries, knowledge management, user needs assessment, architecture and the built environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Organizes current digital records and collections based upon physical holdings
  • Aids in integration of new software and migration of data into new KM platform
  • Performs testing and works closely with administrators to trouble-shoot software and new database platforms
  • Develops training materials and media associated with use of new software
  • Trains staff and various pilot and test user groups on these platforms and processes
  • Provides guidance and training on archiving procedures and the uses of firm’s enterprise hard copy and electronic records and document management systems
  • Refines portal based upon pilot and test group feedback
  • Assists in new software release to 1700+ users across multiple geographies
  • Proactively develops and implements firmwide records retention policies
  • Completes special projects including auditing, documentation and supervision of document destruction of hard copy materials in remote storage
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Library, Information Science or archival records related field such as History, Political Science, Government, Archives and Records Management
  • Experience with administration of RIM or Information Governance program in a corporate environment preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative work in a professional environment, including document management, support of project teams and administration of project information
  • Stays current with trends in library and information science including corporate libraries and research data management
  • Course work and/or experience with instruction or teaching, particularly information literacy preferred
  • Successfully works both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service 
  • Experience with PC, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and related applications
  • Ability to work in an office environment, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs, regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and/or reaching
