About Our Career Opportunity


Concord Medical Center-Lenoir City, a division of Summit Medical Group, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant, CMA, with strong phlebotomy skills  to join their practice to collect and process blood specimens per appropriate methods, and assist with patients when necessary. This is full time opportunity, M-F, 8am-5pm.

* Occasional evening or weekend work, per site needs.

Examples of duties: (list does not include all duties assigned)

  • Prepares equipment to efficiently collect blood specimens. Communicates appropriately with supervisor about concerns and needs pertaining to equipment.
  • Performs venipuncture, arterial and capillary punctures on patients as appropriate.
  • Identifies and labels specimens in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conducts designated laboratory testing.
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures including OSHA guidelines and the corporate compliance program.
  • Performs duties assigned in a professional manner following established policies and procedures while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative manner to co-workers, management, and public.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality

 Education: High school diploma required, additional vocational or college credits. National Certification in Medical Assisting is required.

Experience: At least six months experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
