Description The Answering Service Operator is the primary liaison between the patients, providers, general public and internal operations both outside and during regular business hours. Responsible for assisting with telephone extension connections, paging operations, resolving issues and managing any communication between hospitals, emergency rooms and other providers as needed. Care is recorded and managed within the scope of the Electronic Medical Record.
Requirements Schedule: Variable days, but could also be evenings.


1. Education and Training
High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Experience
Minimum of one to two years in heavy/high volume phone experience in either call center and/or medical facility; experience in hospital or physician answering service preferred.
Medical Receptionist with 2 years previous experience or Medical Assistant preferred.

3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate the phone system, computer, and other related business equipment.
• Must maintain confidentiality of patient, employee or financial records.
