Requirements
Position Description:

As a key member of Macmillan's Talent & Development team, the Talent & Development Program Manager partners with the Macmillan HR team to support talent initiatives in the areas of employee development, performance management and employee engagement. This role reports to the Director of Talent and Management, and is responsible for providing program management oversight over all T&D projects, including material sourcing, resource management, event coordination, vendor management, employee training and engagement feedback analysis and reporting. This role is the primary administrator of Macmillan's Learning & Performance Management system, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to end users and also owns and drives the Talent and Development team's communication strategy.

Major Responsibilities:

Talent and Development Program Management
• Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to market and communicate talent and development programs
• Provide program support for talent management initiatives, including assisting with implementation, delivery and reporting. Programs include, but are not limited to, employee engagement surveys, development and mentoring programs, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
• Prepare customized talent and development statistical reports for departments, including employee engagement survey analysis, T&D program usage and performance review metrics & completion.
• Lead the analysis and assessment of all talent and development programs, using the data to make recommendations for program and process improvements.
• Engage in effective project management practices during the entire development process to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget
• Manage external suppliers to facilitate the delivery of high-quality learning programs according to the agreed-upon timeline, budget, and quality standards
• 5% Demonstrate effective relationship management skills in working collaboratively with project teams comprised of internal and external learning colleagues, subject matter experts, and business leaders
Learning and Performance System Administration
• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Learning and Performance management solution
• Configure, implement, and maintain the organization’s learning and performance management solution. Configure and update performance process information in the system.
• Establish, document, communicate and maintain LMS governance guidelines and practices
• Train employees, trainers and administrators on the learning and performance system functions
• Import and configure digital content into the learning and performance management solution
• Provide Tier 1 (end-user issues) and Tier 2 (in-depth configuration) support for the LMS (logging of technical faults, administering user accounts, etc.)
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer service with enthusiasm and flexibility
• Seek out the latest research and best practices, and identify key trends that will inform current and future talent programs

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• An understanding of business issues, process and outcomes related to the impact of Talent & Development in the organization
• A strong orientation to service excellence and quality, with attention to detail
• Proven record of cross functional collaboration
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and software to streamline business processes and efficiencies
• Advanced project planning and organization skills
• Ability to act quickly, change direction and focus on results in a changing environment
• Comfort with data analysis using MS Office and Google for Work tools

Experience Needed:

• Extensive experience with end to end configuration and administration of an enterprise learning management system. Experience with the Cornerstone platform is desirable.
• Experience with program management or coordination of Talent and Learning & Development programs

Educational Background Required:

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
