Requirements
Macmillan Publishers seeks an Executive Assistant to provide administrative support. The Executive Assistant should be highly organized and motivated, collaborative, enthusiastic, work well without supervision, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and a polished and poised demeanor.

Major Responsibilities:

• Create, store and revise documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
• Coordinate with supervisors and others regarding correspondence
Establish, organize and maintain both physical and electronic office files, records, contact and distribution lists and logs
• Operate computer, and use software (including Goggle Suite), accessories (E-mail, Internet) to support a department, group or manager
Efficiently use office equipment (telephone, photocopier, fax machine, computer, scanner, etc.).
• Organize, coordinate, prioritize tasks and complete essential job duties and responsibilities by producing a quality work output
• Check own work, recognizing that supervisor may verify or check for accuracy
• Take initiative by trying to anticipate and meet the needs of others
• Schedule appointments using Google calendar or as otherwise required
• Arrange conferences and meetings and make travel arrangements when necessary
• Prepare, check and submit expense reports; screen telephone calls, mail and other correspondence
• Coordinate and provide assistance (setup/cleanup) as needed for special events, mailings, meetings, etc.
• Work on special projects as needed, assist with presentations, spreadsheets, etc.

Required Skills / Knowledge
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear, concise manner
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to anticipate and proactively address supervisor’s needs
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as autonomously
• Advanced computer skills

Experience Needed:
• 1-2 years administrative experience in an office environment
• Previous experience supporting a senior level executive preferred, but not required.

Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor’s degree required
