Description Position Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing support and consultative HR services in the areas of general policy, employee and management coaching, employee relations, recruiting, compensation, performance management, benefits, safety/OSHA compliance and other high-touch human resource services to all management at MPS. Position requires employee to be well versed and knowledgeable in the areas of ADA, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, OSHA and FLSA. Delivering on these commitments in a timely, accurate, and professional manner is critical to success in this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Provides guidance, support and assistance in the areas of general policy, employee and management coaching, employee relations, recruitment, compensation, performance management, benefits, training, emergency response & first aid, and safety/OSHA compliance.
• Well versed in the areas of American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Workers’ Compensation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality when exposed to, using or obtaining employee information to include Private Health Information (PHI).
• Fosters a culture of ongoing improvement & success that ensures policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently.
• Collaborates with management to determine recruitment needs in order to attract top talent for current and future positions. Utilizes supporting information to assist in making appropriate determinations. Negotiates contracts with multiple staffing agencies.
• Develops job descriptions and reviews individual tasks for the skills assessments program with an emphasis on continued training for a more flexible workforce.
• Maintains employee files with current data in the Human Resource Information System (UltiPro). Prepares and provides informational reports using COGNOS Impromptu.
• Resourceful in the area of benefits. Understands policies, reporting requirements, trends and costs.
• Drives results, manages conflict, communicates effectively and values differences.
• Tech Savvy - experienced in program conversions such as Payroll or Time and Attendance. Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
• Monitors facilities, safety programs and practices to ensure OSHA compliance. Submits data for required OSHA 300 and 301 reports. Maintains and uploads new SDS in to Site Hawk program to comply with Global Hazardous Communication requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly and/or indirectly supervises 2+ full-time employees.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in HR, or other related fields or equivalent work experience or combination of education/experience.
