Requirements
Celadon Books is seeking a full-time Marketing and Publicity Assistant whose responsibilities will include:
● Working with the team to execute marketing plans that include promotional placement, social media, advertising campaigns, and publicity elements
● Assisting publicity by sending review copies, press releases, and other materials to appropriate media/bloggers
● Working closely with marketing to form strategies for booksellers and online retailers, and assisting with the management of those relationships
● Working with marketing to write copy for advertisements, retailers, blog posts, and other outreach
● Engaging with and contributing to the voice of Celadon and its authors on social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Goodreads
● Aggregating media hits and promotional placement for analysis
● Creating images for social media and advertisements
● Assisting the Associate Publisher with scheduling and communications

Qualifications:

● Experience in the field of publishing or media, preferably in marketing, advertising/promotions, or publicity
● Online experience or an equivalent facility with content marketing and social media
● Strong writing background
● Photoshop, WordPress, and Google Docs experience a plus

The successful candidate must have the following skills:

● Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required;
● Initiative and desire to work successfully in a fast-paced, small team environment, self-directing day-to-day activities and prioritization; strong attention to detail, with an ability to follow-up on items to ensure tight timelines and releases are met
● Organized and able to manage multiple projects at one time


About Celadon Books: Celadon Books was established in the fall of 2018 as a division of Macmillan Publishers. Founded by Jamie Raab and Deb Futter, Celadon Books will publish a highly curated mix of fiction and nonfiction.
