Requirements
Position Description:

St. Martin’s Press seeks a highly organized, motivated Marketing Coordinator to join its Marketing Department. Candidates must be energetic, strategic, analytical and passionate about books and the publishing industry in general. Candidates will play a critical role in communication, administration, coordination within the team as well as provide digital marketing support for A Criminal Element, our in-house operated crime fiction community site.

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Assist in the running of major marketing campaigns under the supervision of senior marketers.

• Help research influencers, organizations, and key bloggers

• Create research lists for outreach to reviewers, influencers, bloggers, independent bookstores, and relevant organizations.

• Run sweepstakes, which involves communicating with legal and creating a landing page with the official rules, as well as writing copy for social.

• Set up and fulfill Goodreads giveaways

• Create back ads in a timely manner for downprices to promote frontlist and backlist titles; submit titles for downprice nomination

• Team administrative duties

• Create and execute long-term digital campaigns for major titles on CriminalElement.com, including excerpts, sweepstakes, author features, reviews, and original fiction.

• Working with the Marketing Team to edit, produce, and coordinate posting to Criminal Element.com as its various social media platforms, including: Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

• Schedule upcoming original content and manage invoicing.

• Possess a keen desire to learn about book marketing

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong communication, organization, analytical and writing skills

Experience Needed:

• 1-2 years of marketing experience

Educational Background Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree
