Requirements Macmillan is seeking a Sales Coordinator for the Specialty Retail Gift Sales channel. The coordinator would report to the Manager of Gift Sales and provide sales support to our commission gift representatives and national accounts managed by our commission rep groups. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to support for account presentations, travel to 2-3 seasonal gift shows, attending two NY trade shows and Toy Fair, putting together sell sheets, and tracking sales promos. The position is also responsible for paying monthly sales commissions, and working closely on our two seasonal gift catalogs.

Major Responsibilities:

• Daily interaction with in-house sales leads, accounts, and customer service.
• Supporting our Virginia Order Processing team with questions and additional sales support details as needed.
• Create sales materials and email blasts for targeted titles.
• Process monthly commission reports.
• Attend three NY trade shows and travel to 2-3 additional regional shows seasonally
• Day-to-day correspondence with our commission gift rep groups.
• Preparing and passing on title information for our in-house gift catalog designer.

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Skilled in verbal and written communication
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
• Strong ability to multitask and work on deadlines
• Possess enthusiasm and initiative for sales
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Work, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of InDesign preferred but not required.

Experience Needed:

• 1-2 years sales experience, preferably in Special Markets.

Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree
