Requirements
Position Description:
Macmillan Special Markets is seeking a sales assistant for the national account and specialty wholesale sales channels. The assistant would report to the Associate Director, National Specialty Retail and Specialty Wholesale Manager in Special Markets. The position also supports the VP, Specialty Retail and Wholesale with administrative responsibilities. The Special Markets Assistant manages and tracks all national account and specialty wholesale orders in addition to working with select in-house accounts.
Major Responsibilities:
• Order processing and tracking all national account and specialty wholesale orders
• Preparing presentations for national account and wholesale sales meetings
• Daily interaction with customer service and accounts
• Recap monthly sales numbers for the Specialty Retail/Wholesale VP
· General customer service
Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Proficient in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
• Extremely organized and detailed
• Skilled in verbal and written communication
• Possess initiative and enthusiasm for sales
• Flexibility
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritize multiple projects
• Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently
Experience Needed:
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required. Publishing experience a plus
Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree
