Requirements As Senior Manager, Finance, you will provide business management and oversight for a variety of central departments, including Sales, Production, and Supply Chain.


Major Responsibilities
• Business Management and Oversight of the departments under area of responsibility:
o Own the close process from a finance perspective, including the determination of accruals needed, analysis of capital spend/projects, allocations, and analysis of department expenses before allocations.
o Build & manage relationships with department heads. Engage in regular dialogue with divisional and functional counterparts to understand potential issues impacting the business.
o Distribute monthly/quarterly summaries of department spending vs budget, forecast, and last year. Identify key drivers of performance and proactively communicate them to senior management.
o Develop presentations for the finance leadership team in preparation for the bi-annual board meetings.
• Prepare Budgets & Forecasts:
o Build and maintain cost projection models for overhead and capital spend of the shared service departments.
o Identify and implement forecast and budget process efficiencies.
o Develop and maintain allocations model and methodology for planning purposes. Communicate changes to operating divisions.
• Work with IT teams to identify enhancements to Macmillan’s suite of financial and non-financial reporting and planning tools. The person in this role should be one of the company’s premier power users of the tools and is able to clearly communicate to the IT teams what is needed, and then help test any developments.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a finance or accounting, or equivalent experience
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in business management, finance, and/or budgeting
• Strong analytic skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with SAP a plus
