YCS Regional Crisis Stabilization and Assessment Program Southern Region is a short-term intensive treatment home for adolescents with neurodevelopmental/psychiatric/medical needs designed to help assess and stabilize them so they may successfully transition back home or into as home-like a setting in the community as possible. The child is in need of immediate Crisis Stabilization Services due to: (a) intense and frequent high-risk behaviors, self/other aggression, including SIB, e.g., head banging, property damage, and/or a psychiatric crisis, due to severely impaired processing; (b) expressing intent to harm oneself or others, and not deemed appropriate for hospitalization by a screening unit; and (c) family/caregiver/placement setting has been deemed unable to safely manage, that is supervise and adequately influence, the high risk behaviors.

Currently Hiring: Full-Time - BCBA/BCaBA - Hammonton, NJ

Duties Include but not limited to:

Participate in initial consumer interviews/ assessment.

Write assessment reports based on initial assessment including behavior support recommendations, programming strategies and tracking forms.

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and write reports.

Develop Behavior Support Plans.

Develop data collection forms.

Train staff in implementation of Behavior Support Plans and recommended strategies.

Conduct staff training on topics in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Monitor and provide support for staff in use of ABA strategies and procedures.

Collaborate with families in the development of behavior support strategies.

Train families in implementation of Behavior Support Plans and recommended strategies.

Participate in regularly scheduled Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.

Conduct regularly scheduled visits to consumer home/group home/school.

Review skill and behavior data on an agreed upon schedule (minimally monthly).

Modify Behavior Support Plans and skill programs as needed.

Coordinate/collaborate with Site Administrator.

Assist with development of materials for behavior support and skill training.

Attend Behavior Support Committee and Human Rights Committee meetings as needed.

Collaborate with other agencies in planning for consumer admission, transition, and discharge.

Work under direction of Vice President of Autism Services.

Schedule: Monday - Friday - 10:00am - 5:00pm (Some weekend hours may be necessary)
Requirements Education Requirements:

Bachelors and BCaBA certificates.
Masters degree preferred with BCBA or BCABA certification

Experience required:
1 - 3 years of experience working with DD and/or SMI population.

Skills required: Staff training, parent interaction, utilization of applied behavior analysis, development/implementation of behavior support plans, development/implementation of data collection systems, Excel use as well.

All new hires are required to attend a week orientation: Monday through Monday 8:45am-4:00 pm, upon hire.
